Organizations
Every user belongs to one or more Organizations. An organization is the top-level container for all data in agronome.ai — farms, fields, drone jobs, integrations, and team members.Organization types
The organization type determines the platform persona and UI experience:| Type | Persona | Use case |
|---|---|---|
farm | Grower | Individual farming operation |
consulting | Consultant | Agricultural consulting firm serving multiple clients |
processor | Processor | Supply chain operator with contracted farms |
Roles
Each membership (user + organization) has a role that controls what actions are permitted:| Role | View data | Edit fields/farms | Manage members | Billing & settings |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Viewer | Yes | — | — | — |

- Every organization has exactly one Owner (the creator)
- Admins can invite new members and change roles (except Owner)
- Editors can create and modify farms, fields, crop zones, and upload data
- Viewers have read-only access to all organization data
Multi-org access
A single user can belong to multiple organizations. Common patterns:- A grower owns their farm org and is a viewer in their processor’s org
- A consultant owns their consulting org and is an editor in each client’s farm org
- An admin manages day-to-day operations while the owner handles billing
Inviting members
Admins and Owners can invite new members:- Go to Settings → Team
- Click Invite Member
- Enter their email and select a role
- They receive an email invitation with a link to accept
