Connecting John Deere

agronome.ai integrates with John Deere Operations Center to import your farms, fields, and boundaries. The connection uses OAuth 2.0 — your JD credentials are never stored.

Prerequisites

  • An active John Deere Operations Center account
  • Admin or Owner role in your agronome.ai organization

Setup

1

Open Integrations

Navigate to Settings → Integrations in your organization.
2

Connect John Deere

Click Connect on the John Deere card. You’ll be redirected to John Deere’s authorization page.
3

Authorize access

Sign in to your JD account and grant agronome.ai read access to your organizations, farms, fields, and boundaries. Approve the requested permissions.
4

Select data to import

After authorization, you’ll see your JD organization hierarchy. Select which organizations, farms, and fields to import. Field boundaries sync automatically.

What gets imported

JD Conceptagronome.ai Mapping
OrganizationOrganization (linked via external_ids)
Farm / ClientFarm
FieldField
BoundaryFieldBoundary (active version)
Crop ZoneCropZone (if available)

Data sync

  • Initial import — full sync of selected entities
  • Re-import — run again from Settings → Integrations to pick up new fields or boundary changes
  • Deduplication — fields already imported (matched by JD external ID) are updated, not duplicated

Disconnecting

To revoke access, go to Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect on the John Deere card. This removes the stored OAuth tokens but does not delete any imported data.
Continuous background sync (automatic re-import on changes) is planned for a future release.
